Not sure of the exact date when I believed women superior to men. Since then, don’t consider myself a “feminist” per se (think there are many implications in the term that I am completely ignorant, hence my skewing away from the definition), but definitely pro-woman in many if not all ways.
Hence I am posting this wonderful and inspirational article by Nicholas Kristof on women philanthropists. Amazingly inspirational and great motivator for everyone to do something today to make a difference beyond one-self.

Which reminds me, today I sent an email to my team here in Lajeado on the rationale behind our lives. This was a quote by Giusto Gervasutti – a rock climber, that appeared in this month’s Vanity Fair.
“ The need is completely different for each individual. It may take the form of a need to live historically, or to rebel against certain limitation; an escape from a restricting circle of daily life, a protest against being submerged in universal drabness, an affirmation of the freedom of the spirit in dangerous and splendid adventure. Or it may well be the pleasure of physical fitness and moral energy, elegance of style and calculated daring; ordeals gaily faced with friends themselves as firm as a rock, the hard life of the high huts, the happy relaxation of remote pastures as one smokes a pipe or sings mountain songs. It may be the search for an intense aesthetic experience, for exquisite sensations, or for man’s never satisfied desire for unknown country to explore, new paths to make. Best of all should be all of these things together.”
